The September 2026 issue of The Mississippi Episcopalian features Adam Gwin of Trinity Episcopal Church in Natchez, whose furniture-making and restoration work serves congregations across Mississippi.

The profile follows his early interest in woodworking and his later decision to make it his profession. His church projects include furnishings for the new nave at Chapel of the Cross in Madison, restoration work at Chapel of the Cross in Rolling Fork, and a bishop’s chair for St. Peter’s-by-the-Lake in Brandon.

Gwin describes craftsmanship as part of his spiritual life and a way to serve worshiping communities. The story offers a local perspective on the care and skill behind the spaces where Episcopalians gather.
